In February, local flowers are just waking from a long winter’s nap. By the Spring Equinox on March 20 they burst into abundance: daffodils and narcissus, hellebores, anemones and ranunculus, green viburnum, geum and jasmine, protea, tulips and Iceland poppies, ornamental kale, peonies, and the season’s first garden roses.
